I have a challenge for you.
This assumes that you have a decent customer list, and a company Facebook Page with a good number of followers.
First Question: Guess what percentage of the people that like you Facebook page are also customers? If you have more followers than customers than guess what number of you customers follow your page on Facebook?
Second Questions: What is the actual number?
- To find this upload your customer list (you will need their emails) into an audience in Ad Manager.
- Then create an audience of people that like your page.
- Now select both audiences and use the overlap feature in Facebook.
I’ve had the opportunity to gather the results of this analysis for several businesses. And I have several colleagues that have done similar studies.
So far I’ve found that the % of people that like a company and are also customers is actually pretty small.
The results have been in the single digits (less than 10%). Kind of makes you wonder why you’re wasting your time on social media.
But that’s a topic for another day.
